They need to provide hardware developers want to work with or are willing to because their projects that work on X1 / PS4 will work the new console Nintendo provides. I love Nintendo, but they need to realize the casual market is gone for consoles. at least that is how I have come to accept my Wii U. If they had a system that was on par with the X1 / PS4 they'd have a chance at attracting third party developers again, until they do the Wii U is strictly for Nintendo games only. It's not worth developing a game for the Wii U if the focus is the PS4 / X1. and that is where ultimately Nintendo gets screwed. While the Wii U would likely be considered they must weigh the cost of dumbing their game down for the system vs the potential profit. Affordable Space Adventures es la nueva aventura de Knapnok Games, un ttulo de accin, sigilo y puzles en el que. Developers want to make the best possible game they can make, so if you are talking a AAA game they will focus on the PS4 / X1 above any other platform. Now Nintendo has put themselves in a situation where their Wii U is barely more powerful than a PS3 while the X1 / PS4 are light years ahead. While the Wii U tried to appeal to adults with Zombie Wii U the game was largely a flop and not what people expected it to be.īack in the 80's / 90's Nintendo had top of the line hardware, developers on console had the most up to date system to work with and were happy. Xbox & PS have both come a long way since their last generation launches, they launched their respective systems with family friendly games to draw in the family appeal while still offering more mature options for adults. They found success with the Wii and the casual / family gaming market because it launched before the casual / family market largely shifted over towards smart phones and tablets, though I am of the opinion that many of the third party Wii games were no better than an average mobile game (They sucked, with only a handful of quality third party titles being released). The fact of the matter is that Nintendo has failed to keep up with changes in the industry. I guess this was kind of a rant, but i feel the Wii U could use some help in the games department and locking out developers based on their geographic location is not a good idea. But it's a shame, to be locked out of developing when the Wii U is one of the most interesing pieces of hardware to try and innovate. I guess Nintendo is excluding all Latin america since there are no official releases by Nintendo ( ). If this situation changes, we will notify you via email. We are working to resolve these issues, but we currently do not have an Estimated Completion Date. Nintendo is not currently able to authorize you for Wii U development, due to reasons related to your geographic location. But the response I got left me thinking that Nintendo could use some help by letting foreign developers try. So I decided to try to apply to become a Wii U developer. I also saw how interesting was Affordable Space Adventures. Sometime ago I read that Mario vs Donkey Kong Tipping Stars was made using Nintendo Web Framework.
